Archives online is a portal for accessing archival finding aids of Special Collections and Archives at Indiana University Bloomington and from other institutions around the state of Indiana. Descriptions of most archival collection items do not appear in IU CAT (IU's online catalog). Archives Online offers access to detailed collection guides to assist you in determining the content of a collection and whether it will fulfill your research needs.
AAAMC Collections in Archives OnlineImage Collections Online serves as a showcase for various image collections curated by the libraries, departments, and cultural institutions of Indiana University. Image Collections Online includes many images from AAAMC collections, historical photographs from the Liberian Collections, images of cultural objects from the Lilly Library, and images from other archival and non-archival collections at IU Bloomington.
AAAMC Image Collections OnlineMedia Collections Online showcases digitized and born-digital time-based audio and video from IU collections. As AAAMC media collections are digitized by the MDPI project, the digitized content will become available on the Media Collections Online site. Some content will become fully open to the public, while other content will remain restricted due to copyright restrictions or other concerns. Some restricted items may be available to researchers through secure online streaming. To determine if a restricted media item has been digitized and made available online, please contact the AAAMC staff for assistance.
Media Collections Online is also a great way for course instructors to use streaming content for teaching. Please contact the AAAMC if you would like to use media from our collections in your course. We are happy to help set up access to specific content for an individual course.
AAAMC Media Collections OnlineTitles in the AAAMC's general collection are currently being added to IUCAT (Indiana University's Online Library Catalog) and Worldcat (OCLC's Online Union Catalog). Circulation is allowed on a limited basis and is restricted to IUB faculty and graduate teaching assistants. Some materials may be placed on reserve through Media Services at the Herman B. Wells Library. Please contact the AAAMC staff for assistance.
